OVERVIEW

As we approach the Presidential election, 2012 looks to be an exciting time in Maryland politics. Over the coming months, there are many pressing issues that will need to be dealt with by Maryland's public officials.

The Center for American Politics and Citizenship is hosting the 2012 Maryland Politics Summit. This second-annual event will be a gathering of prominent elected officials and issue experts who will discuss topics of importance in the State of Maryland.

The conference will be composed of several panels. The first panel will discuss Maryland's current and future financial and budget situations. Following this will be a panel on the state of the State, party politics, and major legislation expected in the coming year. In closing, there will be a panel discussing the state of education policy in Maryland.
